"The entire world is a mirror. The only thing you can ever experience is yourself. Everything you think, feel, do, and see is you. Your thoughts, feelings, ideas, values, philosophies, and opinions create your world. Everything you experience is as it is because that’s how you experience it. We experience the world the way we do because of who we are, not because of how it is."

Lofty living room. The lighting plays up the height of this ceiling, with pendants hung at every level. Monochromatic vertical stripes painted around the living room further accent the room’s reach. Cozy, flexible furniture and uniquely patterned textiles make give the space warmth.
"The unselfish give of themselves. These may be small gifts of charity that have a grand impact for good: a smile, a handshake, a hug, time spent in listening, a soft word of encouragement, or a gesture of caring. All these acts of kindness can change hearts and lives. When we take advantage of the unlimited opportunities to love and serve our fellowmen, including our spouse and family, our capacity to love God and to serve others will greatly increase."

"I got to tell you about this dream I had last night! Okay, so I’ve never actually seen any of the Terminator movies, but in my dream I was watching it. Arnold Schwarzenegger was in this log cabin getting beat up by a bunch of guys, and he was a total wuss about it. He was losing pretty badly. Then, he suddenly stood up and started shouting, ‘You have no idea how powerful I am! My mother was a witch, and I helped deliver myself as a baby, so the midwife gave me three wishes!’ Then, he ripped off his shirt and there were these three glowing cubes on his back. He said, ‘For my first wish, I want a cool haircut!’ And his hair morphed into this perfectly styled haircut. Next, he said, ‘For my second wish, I wish for a room full of guns!" and the log cabin filled up with all these huge guns. ‘For my final wish,’ he said, ‘I wish to be a ROBOT!’ He didn’t really look different on the outside, but his body went into a seizure for a second like it was being filled with metal, and then his eyes started glowing. All the guys that had been beating him up got super scared and started fighting each other, and that’s when I woke up."
"Stop saying sorry. Say thank you instead. When you say, “sorry for being a jerk” the other person is forced to either call you a jerk or say it wasnt a big deal. Instead, say “thank you for being so being so patient with me” so the other person has a reason to say they love you."
I saw this gem on Reddit tonight. It was posted under a topic of “What ‘little’ things you can do to improve your relationship with your significant other.” I’m definitely taking this piece of advice with me into my next relationship. (via brittanyjoyal)
